Hand-rendered 44 page 122x118mm flick book. Filmed and edited into an animated gif image. An experimental hand-written design relating to the easy-come-easy-go and fast-paced nature of fame and recognition. Feeding the thought that everybody who is now known was once unknown, much like how everybody who is now a grown adult was once just a small child (who liked to draw things in crazy colour-ways!).
Created in a recognizable child-like style. During a conversation with my mum sometime last year [2009] about my goals/where I wanted to be and gaining recognition for my work, she unknowningly said something very inspiring to me which later directly influenced this piece of flick book art. She said, "...Lee, remember though, everybody is unknown until they get known..." Thanks mum.
